Hi, I am Rowan. I am a mixed media and collage artist. I cut up magazines, photography, & textbooks to build surreal imagery that twists the brain and pulls the eye.

I have been collaging since November 2021 and this hobby has quickly evolved into a passion. Bright colours, vintage palettes, & handcut paper are my favourite mediums.

There is a huge difference in mediums between collages handcut vs digital.

Paper is finite. Once you cut paper, it doesn't go back together. You can really only use a source once. But it's tactile! It has different weights, textures, quality and tones. Once you glue something down it is somewhat of a committment to the process. You can make mistakes.

Digital is fluid. Anything is possible in Photoshop. The resources are infinite. The colour palettes, the quality and the perspective are easy to create and only inhibited by your imagination and the resolution. Let me know which you prefer!
